Bob Swab presented the Treasurer’s Report. Currently there is $34,382.00 in the league’s checking and savings account. Last year at this same time the league had $45,401.00 in the account. After reviewing the income and expense reports this $11,019.00 shortage can be attributed to slower concession sales; and travel expenses for the all star teams.

The minutes of the August 1999 board meeting were read by Gale Starbuck.

Sonny has received several contributions for the Garland Nelson memorial fund.

Tom Twiddy gave an overview of the fall ball program. The league had 265 players participate and there were twenty children on a waiting list.

Glenn Swaim has offered to furnish the league with a grounds keeper for the next three years. The league would be responsible for mowing the playing fields. Mr. Swaim expressed concerns with the appearance of the complex and would like to see the grounds with a more presentable appearance, especially during the regular season.

Sonny reminded everyone of the board elections which will take place at the October meeting; persons interested in running for the board should contact Tom Twiddy.
