Bob Swab, President of Kernersville Little League, called the meeting to order at 7:25 PM. There were seven regular members in attendance.

Pat McNamara made a motion to approve Andy Parker and Jay Flynn as coaches in the coach pitch division for fall ball. The motion was seconded by Gary Idol; motion approved.

The Treasurer's report was given by Doug Massey, presently the league has $37,729.00 in the bank account. There is $14,672.00 designated for the parking lot fund. This is a significant improvement; given that one year ago the league only had $16,971.00 which included the parking lot fund.

Rick Cremen gave an overview of the fall ball program. The number of teams in each division are as follows: 5 minor baseball, 5 coach pitch, 4 major baseball, 4 junior league, 2 senior league and 2 softball teams.

Rick made a motion to name Mr. Skinner as a fall ball coach. The motion was seconded by Gary Cobbler; motion approved.

Rick suggested the following to improve the program for next year:

-sign ups need to be held at the complex a couple of nights rather than allowing players to sign up at tryouts
-player agents need to be involved at the tryouts
-sign up times and tryout times need to be on the master calendar
-draft guidelines in place before the draft

Brenda Cobbler made a motion for the league to purchase a used commercial freezer for $750.00. She will have Ed Nichols check it for problems before purchasing. The motion was seconded by Mike Robins; motion approved.

Bob Swab named Dwight Clark, Kevin Bixby and Rick Cremen to the nominating committee. He will also speak with Kevin Bixby and Cliff Querry to see if they will run the October election.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 PM.

Respectfully submitted,

Gale R. Starbuck
