Bob Swab, President of Kernersville Little League called the meeting to order at 9:12 AM. The agenda for the meeting was to implement league policies regarding the weather and rescheduling of games.

Bob reviewed several options and after discussion the policies were voted on.

A motion was made by Pat McNamara to use the following guidelines:
The “pool” player rule for Senior Baseball will remain in force and is required to be used by teams in order to play games at their scheduled time. Games will not be rescheduled from this point forward, except for weather.

1 - Teams that cannot field nine players will use the “pool” of players established for this purpose.

2 - Either team not showing up with the required number of players within appropriate limits of the official start time of the game will receive a forfeit. we will utilize the definition of a “forfeited game” in section 2.00 (Definition of Terms) in the 2003 Little League playing rules.

The motion was seconded by Don Morton; motion approved.

After discussion, a motion was made by Pat McNamara to adopt the following:
The following policy is to be used in the event we have severe storms or lightening at the park. We (park director or designee) will officially clear the fields and dugouts when lightening is within a 10 mile radius of the park. We cannot resume play until there is no lightening in the 10 mile zone for a half hour. Note that players, coaches and parents should go to covered areas.

When the fields are cleared due to weather, a decision whether play can be resumed will be determined as soon as possible. If it is determined that play cannot be resumed within an hour, the game will not be continued. If the game is “official”, then the game is over. If not official or tied, then it will be suspended and played at a later date in accordance with Little League rules.Official days for rescheduling rain outs will be Wednesdays and Sunday afternoons.

The motion was seconded by Chuck Haslebacher; motion approved.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:52 AM.

Respectfully submitted,

Gale R. Starbuck
