Bob Swab, President of Kernersville Little League called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM. There were four regular members in attendance.
The minutes of the February, 2003 meeting were read by Gale Starbuck. A motion was made to approve the minutes by Sherry Smagner with the following corrections: Rick Cremen presented an overview of the 2002 Fall Ball program. The Middle School Baseball program will interleague against Northwest (not Davie), Davidson, and Southwest Little Leagues. The motion was seconded by Steve Fischvoght; motion approved.
The Treasurer’s report was given by Doug Massey. Presently the league has $20,212.00 in savings and $42,910.00 in checking. A motion was made by Don Morton to approve the report. The motion was seconded by Jonathan Head.
Sherry Smagner made a motion to name the following persons as managers and coaches of record in the Major Softball division:
MSI - Russell Truesdale, manager
Don Eckert, coach
Bobby Fogle, coach
K’ville News - Terri Zimmer, coach
Teresa Todd, coach
Team formerly McGee’s - Chris Fish, coach
J & R Const. - Tim Livengood, coach
The motion was seconded by Lorraine Swisher; motion carried.
Gary Idol made a motion to accept a trade between Captain Tom’s and Whicker Motors. {Player Name]* was traded from Captain Tom’s to Whicker in exchange for [Player Name]*. The motion was seconded by Brenda Cobbler; motion approved.
A motion was then made by Gary Idol to name the following persons as coaches of record in the Senior League baseball division:

Bob Swab, on behalf of Steve Howell made a motion to accept the following trades in Major League baseball:
VFW trade with Sara Lee, Andrew Smith traded from VFW to Sara Lee in exchange for Tyler Hauser.
VFW trade with Sara Lee, Ben Anderson traded from VFW to Sara Lee in exchange for Ryan Latimer.
Lions Club trade with Vestal, Ben Corsig traded from Vestal to Lions Club in exchange for Casey Starbuck.
The motion was seconded by Gary Cobbler; motion approved.
Bob then made a motion on behalf of Steve Howell to name the following persons as managers and coaches of record in the Major League baseball program:

The motion was seconded by Steve Fischvoght; motion carried.
Pat McNamara still needs two more managers in the Minor League baseball program. There are 104 players signed up for minor baseball.
Don Morton made a motion to name Brad Craddock and Lee Manning as managers for Coach Pitch and Dave Mueller and Bob Bauer as managers for Tee Ball. The motion was seconded by Doug Massey; motion approved.
Jonathan Head made a motion to name Rob Simmons as manager for Machine Specialists and Mark Covington as coach for Checkers in the Senior Softball division. An approval of a trade between MSI and Checkers involving
[Player Name]* from MSI and [Player Name]* from Checkers was also requested. The motion was seconded by Gary Cobbler; motion carried.
Bob gave an overview of the field work, which is being done by Chad Price. After work is completed on Crutchfield it will be closed until opening day. The meeting was adjourned at 9:05 PM.
