Answer: Extended play literally extends our playing season
with those who want to keep playing during the remainder of the summer at a
higher level of play.
---------------
Question: Who can play and what age
groups are involved?
Answer: This is a program with participation of teams from
all over District II. We expect
teams from Rowan, Northwest Little League, Clemmons, etc.
Age groups mirror our little league ages (9-10), (11-12), (13-14).
If there is enough interest, there will be baseball and softball
opportunities at each level.

Answer: Anyone who played on
a regular season (Spring) team in 2003.

in playing extended play?
Answer: There is no cost for players who already registered in the Spring Season..

the regular season team?

will play each other Friday and Saturday. The
bracket winners will play Sunday afternoon for the championship.

Answer: We plan to start July 14th weekend and
go every other weekend until September 1. We
cannot play past September 1 as our insurance ends then.
We will try to have five separate weekend tournaments with a minimum of 3
games per weekend. (approximately 15 games extra).
---------------
Question: How many teams are involved?

division. This will be based upon
interest. We plan to have at least
8 teams in each tournament. Kernersville
will host at least one weekend.
--------------
Question: What are the rules of play?
Answer: Except for pitching, regular season rules of play
will be followed. Playing time will
be 6 outs and 1 at bat. We may
allow a 10th batter (designated hitter).
---------------
Question: What about the pitching
requirements?
Answer: We have proposed to the District Administrator a
modification of the pitching rules for the tournament.
If approved, pitchers would be allowed 9 innings for the weekend.
Maximum of 6 innings in any one game.
Pitchers would not be allowed to pitch two games in a row if they pitch
more than 3 innings in a game (i.e. one game rest for 4 or more innings).
---------------
Question: How will fall ball be
affected?
Answer: Fall ball will be pushed back and not start until
after Labor Day. Our intent is not
to overlap with fall ball. Fall
ball represents a chance for players to participate at the next higher level of

do not want to take away from this instructional program.
